A coordinate system of the CMD-2 detector

The coordinate system of the CMD-2 consists of a cylindrical drift chamber (DC) and a double-layer MWPC (Z-chamber). The signal wires of the DC are arranged in jet-type cells and anode wires of the Z-chamber are combined in sectors. The coordinate along the wires (Z-coordinate) is determined by the charge division method in the DC and - with much better accuracy - by the centroid method in the Z-chamber. The pulses from the DC cells and Z-chamber sectors are used in a track-finder which is part of the first-level trigger. © 1989.
