Measurement of the positive muon anomalous magnetic moment to 0.7 ppm

A new measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment of the positive muon was made with a relative precision of 0.7 parts per million (ppm). At this level, the magnetic moment of positive muon was found to be sensitive to the quantum electrodynamics (QED), weak and hadronic virtual loops and provided an important constraint on extensions on the standard model. The average experimental value of the magnetic moment of positive muon was found to be 0.7ppm.
