Chernyak D. V., Gorbachev D. A., Ignatov F. V., Khazin B. I., Lukin P. A., Popov A. S., Ruban A. A., Sibidanov A. L., Snopkov I. G., Solodov E. P.

The CMD-2 detector has been running on the electron-positron collider VEPP-2M at Novosibirsk since 1992. The cylindrical drift chamber of the detector has a jet-like cell design. The coordinate along the wire is measured with the help of a charge division technique. Some details of the chamber design and calibration procedure are presented together with the obtained angular and momentum resolution. © 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
