Atlas of New Research based on EconLit (2006—2013): Vol. 1 JEL Category A

Abstract

The subseries of books “Atlas of New Research Based on EconLit (2006—2013)” uses the information regarding more than one million of publications from 1991—2013, derived from EconLit electronic bibliography. EconLit is the American Economic Association's comprehensive resource to the world's economic literature. The first volume of the subseries is devoted to JEL General Category A “General Economics and Teaching”. A reader can find from the following in this volume: 1. Information about 4416 links that 17 micro categories belonging to the general category A formed with the other JEL micro categories in 1991—2005. The grouping of links according to 20 macro- and 127 meso categories is presented. 2. Information about 1255 new subject links with 17 basic categories that have emerged during the 2006—2013 period. These links were reflected in new 3818 publications. We consider the first new intersections of codes as the “seeds” of new research. The volume contains the data about more than 1000 “seeds”-publications with presentation their authors, titles, sources and abstracts. 3. Information about codes and names of 9351 potential new intersections between micro fields belonging to category A and other JEL micro categories. The appendices show the characteristics of innovative bibliometric analysis and the experience of its application in the Novosibirsk Scientific Center. There is a guide to the volume tables. We consider each volume as a synthesis of a scientific monograph and of a handbook. The publication is intended for economists, researchers, teachers, graduate students, undergraduates and university students specializing in economics. The American Economic Association has given its permission to develop the presented set of derivative works based on EconLit and to publish our results in English and in Russian. Подсерия книг «Атлас новых исследований на основе EconLit (2006—2013)» использует информацию о более чем одном миллионе публикаций за 1991—2013 гг., извлеченную из электронной библиографии EconLit. EconLit создана Американской экономической ассоциацией и охватывает мировую экономическую литературу. Первый том подсерии посвящен JEL макро категории А «Экономикc (экономическая наука) в целом и обучение». Читатель может найти в томе следующее: 1. Информацию о 4416 связях, которые 17 микро категорий, принадлежащие макро категории А, сформировали с другими микро областями JEL в 1991—2005 гг. (с дополнительной группировкой по 20 макро и 127 мезо категориям). 2. Сведения 1255 новых предметных связях этих 17 категорий, которые возникли в 2006—2013 гг., и отражены в 3818 новых публикациях. Мы рассматриваем первые новые пересечения кодов как «семена» новых исследований. Приведены данные о более 1000 публикаций - «семян» с указанием авторов, названий, источников и рефератов. 3. Информацию о кодах и наименованиях 9351 потенциально нового пересечения микро областей категории А с другими предметными областями. Приложения освещают особенности инновационного библиометрического анализа и опыт его применения в Новосибирском научном центре. Включен путеводитель по таблицам тома. Каждый том можно рассматривать как синтез научной монографии и справочника. Издание предназначено для экономистов, исследователей, преподавателей, аспирантов, магистрантов и студентов экономических специальностей вузов. Американская экономическая ассоциация дала любезное разрешение осуществить совокупность производных работ на основе EconLit и опубликовать полученные результаты на английском и русском языках.
