The monograph is devoted to description of results of research of problems and methods of organizational development of industrial enterprises. We consider two conflicting objectives of an enterprise - stability and development. Activities for support of stability and activities for development of the enterprise are in conflict not only because they claim the same resource (time of the manager) but also because any change "denies" the existing work order in favor of a new management technology. Begins (known from dialectics) "the struggle of the new with the old." Because of this many barriers appear for introduction of managerial innovations. The book contains an analysis of barriers and methods of overcoming them. Based on this analysis, a thesis is formulated that a company should have a function of innovative that is there should be a regular activity of organizational development. At its core, this activity is an entrepreneurial activity, the essence of which is the constant implementation of innovations in the enterprise to move the company forward. In this regard, three subjects of an enterprise under market conditions are identified in this book: (1) the owner, (2) the manager, (3) the entrepreneur. The book examines the role of an entrepreneur in maintaining the innovative function of the enterprise. Classification of management innovations is also introduced, properties of each type of innovation are described, and experience of application of modern management tools is analyzed.
The second part of the book is devoted to presentation of organizational and methodological basis for development and implementation of management innovations. In particular, principles and rules are systemized for design and implementation of management innovations, organizational format for implementation of changes is described, methods for development and implementation of innovations are given. Principles and rules are organized into three groups: (1) organizational principles, (2) principles of development of management innovations, (3) rules for introduction of innovations. The main format for work on changes in the company is considered a matrix organizational structure that can be implemented in four ways: (a) functional coordination, (b) design service, (c) project-matrix structure, (d) functional-matrix structure. Four methods for developing managerial innovations are discussed: organizational design, method of borrowing of best practices (benchmarking), business process reengineering, and business process reengineering using computer tools.
The book is intended for managers of industrial enterprises, scientists, experts and educators studying problems of organizational development of industrial enterprises.
