International Academic Forum “Heritage” at the Institute for Humanities of Novosibirsk State University, Novosibirsk, Russia, in September to October of 2018.

The aim of the event is to create connections between experts in the Heritage Studies and Sciencefields, in order todiscuss issues of national and cultural values in the context of globalization, mass culture expansion, complications around migration processes, and new ways of intercultural communication. Special attention will also be given to the issue of interinfluence of European and Asian cultures.

The Forum schedule will include scientific sessions, plenary talks, workshops, public lectures, and exhibitions. Below is a list of the themes and events that will appear throughout the Forum duration.

Discussion "Institutionalization of humanitarian expertise: historical and cultural heritage and projections onto future " (October 4);
Instrumental concert "South Chinese musical traditions" (October 13);
Academic seminar “Topical issues of archaeography and source study” (October 15);
International research and application conference “Topical issues around the study of history, international relations and cultures of Eastern countries” (October 25–27);
International academic conference “Ethnocultural identity of the peoples of Siberian and adjacent regions” (October 25–27);
International academic seminar “Japan in the context of Asian culture and history” (October 28 – November 1);
International research and application conference “Communicative culture: history and modern day contemporaneity. Session: Cultural and historical heritage within social communication” (November 1);
Discussion "Eurasia: scientific partnership in history research" (November 2);
Pedagogic master classes “Cultural heritagewithin foreign language education”;
Series of exhibitions about the history of culture of Russia, Korea and China;
Master class "Chinese paper cutting art J iǎnzhǐ ".
